A MESSAGE FROM ESTHER

Before the result was declared in Luton South, Mr M.D. Sent an email to me, which I hope and believe expresses the views of many people.

Hi Esther,

Just wanted to say Good luck, the result isn't in yet, but I also have

to admit I didn't vote for you.

I have been in two minds for the whole election period, to "vote local"

or "vote national", and the real big issue of the economy came first. I

also have to admit I didn't want a hung parliament - so its partly

tactical voting.

This all said, no matter what the result I would like you to stick

around in South Luton, and Luton as a whole. The whole place needs a

lift and a figure like yourself who can highlight issues and bring them

to peoples attention.

In my lifetime I don't ever remember hearing about Luton so much on

national media, and I believe a large part of that is down to yourself.

As you must know by now, when they say Luton is diverse, they mean it,

and whoever becomes MP can't handle Luton South by themselves, even with

all the good will in the world. We need people like you, who can mix it

up a bit, and keep people on a straight track.

I also want to say I admire you for coming to Luton, for putting your

time and money in trying to convince people to vote for you, but the

count on election night shouldn't be taken as a reflection on yourself,

unfortunately big issues are at stake - bigger than just Luton.

Kind regards,

M.D.

Of course I would love to stay in touch with Luton, so if anyone feels I can be useful you can contact me via my professional agent Vicki Mellor at Billy Marsh Associates  www.billymarsh.co.uk and for the next two weeks my political agent Dominic May is also continuing to work with me and can be contacted on 07768 701425. I will not be checking my email as regularly as I once did and I will cease to twitter.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you so much for your interest.

With best wishes for the future,
